Tibetan Mind-Body Reboot

Hello, everyone! Rose here. I recorded this video of the series of exercises called the Tibetan Mind-Body Reboot in March 2013, and I’m delighted to share it with you here. Watching it now, I realize I must have been pregnant when we videoed it—but I’m not sure if I knew that then! Pre-Oliver life is all a bit of a blur, especially that really interesting, liminal space between becoming pregnant, knowing you are pregnant, and having a child on your lap (more on that in a later blog).

The Mind-Body Reboot practice is one you’ve almost certainly done if you’ve come to any of our teachings. It’s a great introduction to some important elements of how we teach. The body is such a helpful guide for us: on our journey of personal transformation, and in fact in all moments of our lives. The more deeply I connect with my body, the more deeply I know my own experience, and how different people, interactions, and events affect me. When I can discern clearly how my world impacts me, it’s easier for me to come into action. I can make decisions about my life that I actually feel I’m in harmony with, in a deeper way than I would by intellectually trying to figure out “pros and cons.”

So try out this exercise, and remember that the most important part of this practice is to open and listen to your own body, and thereby to open and listen to your own experience.

 I hope you enjoy it.
