Deepening Relationship with Your Wisdom Body
Wisdom Body Lujong is a Tibetan movement yoga that progresses us on our spiritual journey and simultaneously brings health and healing to our physical bodies and our emotional experience. Lujong integrates Buddhism’s wisdom teachings into daily life, transforming our experience of our own individual body and world. It helps us to synchronize and align our body and mind, and to rest in direct reality, which gives rise to the profound experiences described in the Buddhist wisdom meditation teachings.
We are deeply grateful to the late Tibetan Buddhist master Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche for sharing these practices with us. He taught them directly to Rose and Ari in group and individual settings over many years. From 2007-9, Rinpoche, Rose and Ari were in semi-retreat together. During that time, Ari and Rose completed Rinpoche’s book of teachings Stars of Wisdom, and Rinpoche encouraged Rose to write a book on Lujong (Training the Wisdom Body) and to continue offering this practice to others.
As we train in Lujong in this ongoing study and practice group, we also contemplate questions such as: What is a body? What is my experience of having a body? What is the energetic or subtle body? What do the Tibetan yogic texts say about the reality of the body? And, how do I relate with these teachings and practices to transform my own experience in daily life?
Sessions include:
Lujong yogic practices of meditational movement
Body-based meditations in stillness to reveal our own relationship with our subtle body
Voice explorations as part of our subtle body experience: yogic songs of realization and sounded syllables
Breath work practices
Time for discussion and to share our experience
This is an online group meeting every other week over three semesters a year. We also organize workshops and weekend Lujong retreats.
